Cast Your Net

Yesterday I was watching a movie and one of the main actors said, "Don't cast your nets where there are no fish." This reminded me of the scripture, John 21:6, in which the disciples were fishing and weren't catching anything. The Messiah saw their distress and advised them to cast their nets to the right side of the boat and there they would find an abundance of fish. How many times do we "fish" in the wrong places, hoping to catch something of value? For me, as a business owner, therapist, consultant, coach, author, speaker, minister this resonated deeply regarding how I have been operating - I have been hoping for support, purchases, etc., from those closest to me; yet, my greatest support as an entrepreneur and influencer has come from those I do not have a personal relationship with. This message said to me, "Angel, cast your nets in other areas. Try something different. Don't mimic others, be yourself." Within me, I could hear Holy Spirit saying, "Be uniquely who I have created you for business and life." You see, beloved, if you are a believer and a business owner, (or maybe you aren't a business owner), Most High has provided a blueprint for you to follow. He wants us to function according to the PLANS HE ESTABLISHED FOR US as individuals. So, we must follow that plan if we are to experience true success in Him - in life, in business, in ministry. His word declares that He knows the plans He has for us and that we should commit our ways, thoughts, plans to Him for maximum impact. He will never steer us in the wrong direction. And yes, He can use even a line from a movie to get our attention. That is what He did for me, and does many times. He uses even the most insignificant things, it seems, to get my attention and focus. He will do the same for you. Commit your business plans, ideas, ministry, work, life, home, marriage, family, and all that concerns you to His hands today beloved.

What plan of action will you take today to cast your net on the right side of your boat?
